Disc Golf Tournaments 2024: A Gathering of Enthusiasts in Beijing
From June 15th to 16th, 2024, the second edition of the Beijing ディスクゴルフ Open was held at the World Horticultural Expo Park. Over 105 frisbee enthusiasts from various provinces and cities including Beijing, 上海, 江蘇省, Zhejiang, Henan, Liaoning, Hainan, and Taiwan, with ages ranging from 15 に 70, came together to embark on this journey of leisure sports. This event stands as the ディスクゴルフトーナメント with the largest participation in the country, showcasing the charm of disc golf.
Tournament Structure and Participants
The tournament was divided into Elite and Public groups, with both groups participating in two rounds of competition: a qualifying round followed by the final round. This event is an important initiative of the national fitness campaign integrating into scenic areas.
Venue and Facilities
The competition venue, integrated with the scenic beauty and terrain of the park, was divided into two 18-hole courses: the World Horticultural Expo Scenery Course and the Gui Riverbank Course, featuring a variety of terrain obstacles such as water hazards and forest obstacles. The park provided convenient facilities for participants, ensuring a safe competition environment, comfortable rest areas, and convenient transportation facilities, allowing participants to fully enjoy the beautiful competition time.
ディスクゴルフ: A Sport for All Ages
ディスクゴルフ, also known as frisbee golf, is a leisure sport similar to golf. Participants need to navigate around natural obstacles such as trees, 草, and rivers, trying to advance towards the target basket along the fairway with the fewest number of throws. This sport is suitable for people of all ages, not only training participants’ throwing distance and accuracy but also assessing their judgment and decision-making abilities based on terrain, wind direction, and landforms.

The tournament fully leveraged the advantages of outdoor trend sports events to promote the integration of “sports + tourism” and to explore the function of sports in stimulating consumption.
